AW 2011 shoot

I got a few behind-the-scenes shots of the team doing what they do best on yesterday's shoot so thought I'd share them with y'all...

It was a fantastic day - hard work but we have some brilliant results so I'm really happy. Can't wait to get the A/W 2011 look book out there for all to see.

Knitted cool for Margherita

I love this shot of Margherita Missoni. What a great outfit. She was in Grazia in this very ensemble a couple of weeks ago in the Fashion Jury section and got a bit slated. My best friend even flicked past it and said "what IS she wearing?!" which is fair enough and we usually agree on these things, but not on this occasion.

Obviously I'll always champion the knit, but what I love about this (apart from the fact that she obviously has the looks and figure to pull it off with great aplomb) is that most people would shy away from a knitted top AND skirt but she's thrown caution to the wind and gone for it. She just knew it would work.

Shoot, score! #2

We have a date in the diary for the A/W 11 shoot and we're all very excited about it, especially as we have the same team - everyone did such an amazing job last time, I'm feeling pretty confident.

I'll be casting over the next couple of weeks and I'll be blogging (where possible) throughout the process. Keep an eye out for further developments!

Cool crochet for Dolce and Gabbana

Normally I tire slightly (but not entirely) of flicking through the pages and pages of adverts in Vogue before you get to the juicy stuff, but this morning I got quite excited by an ad for Dolce & Gabbana SS11 - an absolutely beautiful crocheted black cardigan and skirt 'suit', that while looking like something my great grandmother might have made, manages to exude class and sophistication while simultaneously looking.... wearable!

I absolutely love the whole old school 'famiglia Italiana' vibe of the whole campaign.
