Latest press coverage: The Times

If you pick up a copy of today's Times, you'll see our Seoul sweater and Tokyo skirt, both from the S/S 2012 collection, on page 8 of the Times 2 section.  Or, you can just look at the coverage here, which I have very kindly scanned in for your convenience:

Interview: Joshua Castro at Wolf & Badger

I'm going to start doing a series of quick interviews with collaborators and supporters of the brand.

I've decided to start with self-proclaimed 'maximalist' Joshua Castro, who is store manager for our stockist, Wolf & Badger and has worked with us a great deal since we joined the W&B family earlier this year (see him pictured below with me, in the Notting Hill branch):

Wolf & Badger has been described as one of the top 10 shops in London, despite only having been established for 2 and a half years. What do you think is the secret to its success?
All the amazing designers that we have and the constant change of stock keeps interest levels high.

On a day-to-day basis, what does your role at W&B entail?
Day to day running of the stores, supporting designers, merchandising...

Which designers do you personally wear?
Margiela, Dries van Noten, Lanvin and Bathing Ape - Nigo (founder of the brand), completely changed the face of fashion marketing - he is an absolute genius!

Many people who’ve worked with you have commented on how much they admire your personal style. Who or what do you think is your greatest inspiration?
Having good fashion history knowledge

What do you think is the key to good personal style?
Knowing yourself

Where in London do you like to shop?
Small independent stores

What is the most valuable fashion advice you’ve ever received?
Always take off the last accessory that you've put on (not that I ever do that, I always just add another one instead!  I am a true maximalist).

The phrase ‘style icon’ is bandied about a lot these days, who do you think deserves to be called a true style icon and why?
The women, like Iris Apfel, that Ari Seth Cohen photographs for Advanced Style are my icons because they have the most evolutionary style.

What advice would you give to someone hoping to work in fashion retail?
If you're prepared to put in the hard work it is very fulfilling. It is always a lovely feeling to help somebody look their best.

Amy Hall AW12, now at Bib & Sola

We are delighted to have Bib&Sola as a new stockist for AW12. You can see their edit of the collection, as well as other carefully sourced pieces by other artists and designers here.

They held their launch event for their pop-up shop, IMBUE, last night in SW1 and judging by the heaving crowd of attendees, we're guessing that they will do well during their short run.

IMBUE is at 14 Grovesnor Crescent, SW1 until Sunday 24th June.

Pop-up: IMBUE

We're very excited to have been invited to show some of our pieces at Imbue, a pop-up shop opening next week at Milli Millu's studios.  Bib & Sola are hosting the store and you can see some of their beautiful hand-blown Venetian glass carafes here (also pictured below).

There are several other designers and creatives involved (listed on the invitation below), so it's well worth a visit even if only to browse.  But I imagine you'll find it rather difficult to leave empty handed....  We'll be taking exclusive pre-orders on the A/W 2012 collection, too.
